How can I trust your company and the products you provide?

We are a UK registered limited company and have been trading on Amazon since 2017. We sell a variety of products under our various trademarked Amazon brands and pride ourselves on providing quality items along with fantastic customer service.

Why would I pay more for a Type2r mask over a regular, disposable mask?

I think it’s fair to say that the majority of people don’t enjoy wearing masks. They are wearing them simply for the safety aspect and the prevention of spreading bacteria. Armour Guard’s view is that if someone is having to go through the hassle of wearing a mask, it might as well be one that is of high quality and is fit for purpose. A lot of masks on the market actually offer little protection or none at all!

Why not wear a cheaper, disposable facemask or a cloth mask?

Cheaper masks or cloth masks can sometimes appear more comfortable and certainly cost a bit less, but you are greatly increasing your chances of catching or spreading infection and they are not fit for purpose. Often cloth masks often no filtration rating from bacteria at all and as they are reused, they can sometimes even increase the chances of bacterial infection.

How can I trust an Amour Guard™ Type2r or KN95/FFP2 mask?

Armour Guard™ is the sole authorised distributor in the United Kingdom for these products. Armour Guard™ has its own branded version of Type2r and KN95/FFP2 masks. Prior to arranging or placing any orders we completed a manual on-site check of the production facility and sat down with the factory manager to discuss the history of the factory and their production process. We then externally vetted all European testing reports for their accuracy and made sure every document passed our internal compliance checks. Most companies who import or resell masks only request compliance documents. They don’t take the time to manually check them, and they certainly don’t spend the money completing an on-site inspection at the production factory. Armour Guard™ goes to these great lengths to assure the quality of our products and therefore we have great faith in every product we sell.

How can I assure that the compliance testing reports are accurate for your Type2r mask?

Our Type2r mask is tested for CE purposes in Germany. The testing report is provided by a company called KA-Becker. See: www.kollegiale-apothekenberatung.de

In Germany, all medical testing reports are registered with the official German medical testing agency which is Dimdi. See: www.dimdi.de

You can sign-up for access to the Dimdi website and find the testing report online using the report number. There is also a snapshot of this online portal included in our documentation. You can then compare this report to the one on our website.

This, therefore, assures that the report is accurate and more importantly the manufacturer on the report matches the manufacturer of the product you received.

How can I assure that the compliance testing reports are accurate for your KN95/Type2r mask?

Our KN95/Type2r mask is tested for CE purposes in the Netherlands. The testing report is provided by medical testing company BSI Group.

See: www.bsigroup.com

The BSI online platform allows you to upload a BSI medical testing report copy that you have. The online system will then automatically scan the document for accuracy and confirm the authenticity of the report. This can be done using the following link on the BSI Group website: https://pgplus.bsigroup.com/CertificateValidation/CertificateValidator.aspx?CertificateNumber=CE+730096&ReIssueDate=09%2f07%2f2020&Template=uk

This, therefore, assures that the report is accurate and more importantly the manufacturer on the report matches the manufacturer of the product you received.

Where can I obtain a copy of the CE European testing reports and other compliance documents for the masks you sell so I can check them?

Please see the compliance section of the Armour Guard™ website.

How can I confirm the alcohol hand-gel is the correct alcohol content?

You can confirm using the UK issued MSDS report which is viewable within the compliance section of our website.

What is European EN149:2001 and EN14683 ratings?

These are European certifications that confirm the bacterial filtration rating of each mask. Typically, EN149:2001 is a bacterial rating of at least >98% and is therefore suitable for medical settings. This includes hospitals and is compliant for NHS usage.

Why do you refer to your masks as ‘Medical’ masks?

As we only sell high-quality Type2r or KN95/FFP2 masks tested to EN certification they are therefore suitable for NHS and/or hospital usage.

Who is ‘Textile Source Medical Supplies Group’ and ‘Guangxi Anran Medical equipment’ and how do they relate to Armour Guard™ ?

Armour Guard™ is the sole UK distributor and an official European distributor for the above manufacturers. We have performed document audits on both companies and a physical factory inspection of ‘Textile Source Medical Supplies’. We only supply these companies’ products and have complete trust in their quality and supply chains.

Why Chinese manufacturers and not European?

China has a lot of questions to answer in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic which we are confident will be addressed in due course. However, their manufacturing capacity and availability is unrivalled across the world and it is extremely difficult to produce the volume and quality of products on a consistent and long-term basis without working with Chinese factories.

I know there are other masks manufactured in Europe and the UK. Will these be better quality?

Not necessarily as a lot of these manufacturing processors have been rushed together in light of the pandemic, whilst other longstanding Chinese companies have been manufacturing face masks prior to the pandemic. This means they may not have the correct testing reports or bacterial efficiency rating to offer the best protection.

Don’t you think wearing masks from the UK or Europe so we can cut-out China completely is a better idea?

Again, this is not necessarily true. There are mask manufacturers in the UK and Europe, but this can sometimes be misleading. The ‘hard-truth’ is that the majority of materials comprised to build a mask such as the various layers, cord, filter, valve, plastic seals and even the printed carton boxes come from China. These are sent in bulk and are often just ‘assembled’ and ‘quality-checked’ in the UK or Europe.

Do you not sell any other PPE products?

Currently, Armour Guard™ only specialises in the highest quality face masks and alcohol hand-gel. We are able to source other PPE products for large orders for organisations such as the NHS or care-homes and not for retail use.

Do you wholesale orders outside of Amazon?

Yes, we also provide wholesale orders. For smaller retail orders (less than 50 boxes of masks), please continue to use the Amazon platform.

For larger wholesale orders (50+ boxes of masks – typically around 2,500 masks, please see the wholesale section of our website or contact us by email, messenger, Facebook or WhatsApp. Our details are shown at the bottom of this page.

What if I have additional questions that I need answering?
